We have now launched a change to how the ban appeal system works.
From today, the process of ban appeals is partially automated.
Instead of filling in the full form, players will now need to:
Players will need to select the ban they wish to appeal from the list of bans received and then appeal it.
The appeal system will reject players from creating an appeal if:
- The ban is an anti-cheat ban
- Ban length is less than 7 days
- Bans that are already expired
These changes have been bought in to make appeals easier for the end user and to ensure information is accurate for admins who are viewing and dealing with the appeal.
The existing appeal system can still be used for Teamspeak and Discord bans.

So, we have a change to the Utrecht meetup this year and we are announcing a UK summer meetup this June.
First of all, the Utrecht meetup this summer was originally scheduled for 24th-28th of August but we are changing that to the 2nd -7th of August. We made these changes due to feedback from the community saying they won't be able to attend - we have now hopefully rectified this. These changes are final - no more changes will be made to these dates. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
You can find updated information here - https://warzone.gg/meetupinfo?id=5
Secondly, we have scheduled a UK summer meetup this year.
We done this due to it being absolutely freezing during the winter meetup and that we just want to have another meetup soon because why not! The private bar is much better in the summer and we can have a much better time there during the summer. It is basically the same as the Winter Meetup 2018 except their being no snow and it will be warm.
You can find the event page to sign up and relevant information here - https://warzone.gg/meetupinfo?id=7
With Update 14 around the corner, we've accepted several submissions from the Community. So far the system has been a good success, but we'll be making some changes to the system to further improve the quality of skins that we receive.
Here's the boring part. Back in 2014, Valve received a DMCA notice to take down the M4A4 Howl Skin and Howling Dawn Sticker from CS:GO because the Howling Wolf design was plagiarized (stolen without credit/permission). To compensate players who owned the skin, a new variant was created and no more Howl Skins or Stickers were generated. Although this isn't as big of an issue for us, we still need to take this into mind.
With the new Update, we'll be changing the Skin submission template to include External sources used. This means any images which haven't been created yourself must have a link to the original image. Depending on how much the image has been adapted, this will affect the likelihood of your skin being accepted. A good example of the right way to do this is the MP5 Velvet by @Knuckles. The floral pattern has been heavily altered to create an original outcome, so it wouldn't change the chances of being accepted.
If you use any other works without including a source, the skin will be declined, and you may be unable to submit skins in the future.
There are some weapons which need more skins, and we want to promote people to experiment with more weapons. @ZeRo has recently posted a list of the skins which will be accepted for Update 14 part 2, and @vlodern will be running some competitions for certain weapons. If you want some easy skins to work with, I'd suggest the Glock, MP5, AWP or MAG-7. Some of those aren't open for submission yet, but they're good practice and might be open again in the future.
I'll be making some changes to the Skin Resources so working with them in Photoshop will be a bit easier. For example, glove OBJs will be edited to remove the full arms and have the left/right hands side by side, along with some small improvements to the texture resources as well. Next question, and one I've been asked a lot, is where SkinUtils is. Right now it's delayed thanks to a virus on my PC. That one's on me, so when my HDD has been nuked it'll be back in the works.
Thanks for reading. Skin Submissions should take a big step forward from here, so we're looking forward to what you make!
Today we are announcing a new server: Zombie Survival! It's a very enjoyable and popular game mode within Garry's Mod.
The server is live now and you can connect to the server by typing connect 188.8.131.52:27045 or visit the server page here - https://warzone.gg/serverinfo/48
We have modified the game mode to implement our skins system. This means that as a human, you can use your existing skins and knives along with gloves. We are going to implement our XP and money system in a future update.
What is Zombie Survival?
Zombie Survival is a popular multiplayer game mode in Garry's Mod. It features survivors who are fighting for their lives against zombies.
When a game begins, everyone starts out as a human. Before the round starts, there is a countdown which gives the players time to purchase items and find a base. After the countdown ends, the players closest to a zombie spawn will respawn as zombies . The zombie spawn points are marked in green smoke. After a round has started, you will take damage from the poison if you get too close to the spawn.
Before a round starts at least one player will need to buy an Arsenal Crate. When a round has begun it is best to stick with other survivors, as lone survivors are typically the first to be killed. You will also want to stay inside of bases with other survivors for a greater chance of surviving the round.
Hope you guys enjoy! We'll see you slaughtering some zombies there soon
So as you see in the picture above we have a new game mode at WarZone called Hide And Seek!
The objective of the game mode is simple, you have 1 team of hiders and another team who are seekers. The objective of the seekers is to find anybody hiding around the map.
We can bring some extra features to the game mode such as the game mode being custom written by our man ZeRo, we feature a much better taunt system and a very well designed user interface. Of course all the usual features of the WarZone servers are present such as custom skins, cases, money and XP system, market, auction system, radio and so on.
We will be hosting a game night on this Saturday the 10th of February for everybody to attend, when the event page is live I will update this post with more information.
You can join the server from here - https://warzone.gg/serverinfo/46
Have fun guys!
WarZone is attending ESL One Cologne 2018!
Myself and ZeRo are attending this event from the 5th of July - 9th of July, we decided to make this meetup available for any members of WarZone - the event is happening on the 6th July - 8th July but we are traveling and staying in Cologne from the 5th to the 9th of July.
If you're from the UK or you would like to road trip to the event from the UK you will need to be able to get to either Ipswich or somewhere near there for collection. We are traveling by car and as such ZeRo will require money for fuel, Eurotunnel expenses, etc. We will have a meeting with all attendees to make sure everybody is clear on what is required and such if traveling with us.
If you would like to attend from any other locations you will be responsible for your own transport, etc. Full organization of the event will happen within weeks of the winter meetup and tickets and such are of limited quantity.
