and also spamming the forum Welcome to WZ, enjoy your stay
  5. i think we need a Hatsune Miku model, we've never had one before
  6. I wasn't sure whether to write a thread about this or just bear the "minimalistic" design myself, but since I've already thrown some suggestions around and there was talk about them on the TeamSpeak channel while I was away I'm going to write the thread with the assumption my initial ideas were being misrepresented and possibly discarded/ignored as a result. Like the title says, this is mostly forum layout/theme related. Take this with a pinch of salt as I'm going to talk about my personal forum preferences and none of what I say will be spoken from an objective viewpoint on the way the forum works. I just want to see what people think. 1. On the main page of the forums, change the sub-forum BG colors to represent their read/unread statuses rather than just having one section grey and another one white. I'm talking about this: I don't know why this design choice was made, but it's literally the first forum I see that does this (and I've taken part in quite a lot of them). Rather than having grey represent "no new messages" and white "currently active/new messages", or vice versa, the color means nothing. And because all other forums do this the traditional way (perhaps ones that don't use this "technologically advanced" IPS4 service), it's confusing to see the background change colors without having new posts (or the lack of them) associated with it. One grey, one white; may look pretty, but it's confusing. I don't know how many of you visit other forums, but "my" post-status way is the way that's usually being used and I'd like to at least have the option to change it by myself (choosing a different theme, for example). The [NEW] tag for new content isn't enough; I want the whole thing to change so spotting new posts can be done in an instant. 2. Remove the mobile version of the site completely. Oh god, the mobile website. It's impossible to use; the font and the text boxes/areas are too cramped and are too big for my liking. The mobile-adapted menus, while useful, are in no way better than the beautifully crafted, blurred NavBar that comes with the custom WZ forum theme on the desktop version. They're a pain to look at. As an added bonus, the forums aren't easily accessible through the main homepage because it's a weird desktop/mobile hybrid (to get to the forum I click on the most recent thread, then from the complete mobile version I use the dropdown menu on the top right). I'd appreciate if this wasn't looked into further as removing it is most definitely possibly, but seems to be causing some other issues at the moment. I'm using an iPhone 6 (iOS 9.3.3) and the "Request desktop site" button does absolutely nothing. 3. Merge the Activity, About Me and Steam Profile tabs into one page that contains everything you need to know about one user. I'm actually thinking old WarZone forum, where everything but in-game info was crammed into one big page. It looked amazing, but most importantly it allowed to personalize one's profile page and make it different to the rest of them more easily. I mean, the first thing you see when you click on someone's profile page is a long wall of text - the Activity tab. Why require 2 extra clicks to switch tabs and get access to more info? The Facebook-like profile cover addition is great, but other than that all profiles feel completely dull and boring to look at. How about allowing us to choose a profile background again? How about adding some flavor info you could add to your profile, like additional contact information and favorite games/hobbies/music? As a minor sidenote, I really really really want the sides of the page to switch - have the Activity and the rest of the content on the left, then the sidebar with all the additional info on the right. It feels more natural and I think it might look better. An option to switch sides, perhaps? 4. Allow regular users to delete their own posts or edit them without the "Edited" marker appearing (if no edit reason was supplied). You're going to see the deleted post on your admin panel, thus I don't see a reason to disallow users from doing this themselves. When I accidentally post a thread prematurely or make a mistake, I feel like I'm getting punished for it by having none of these options available to me from the get-go. I think the "Edited" marker makes a post ugly, and it bothers me because I try to make my posts as presentable to others as possible. I prefer to be able to delete a post of mine I no longer deem necessary, or just be able to edit it without further consequence. 5. Bring the old Blogs section back? I thought about taking up writing and I need a place to put my stuff in. Can't promise anything, but I'm sure other people could put it to good use. 6. I'd like to be able to access the Members list by clicking the numbers/stats below and by having a button for it under the Community tab. 7. As an admin, I'd like to be able to see all player ban appeals/reports for my game (in my case, MW2), and not just ones assigned to me specifically. Ignore this suggestion if admins get to do that when they receive the full title or if I can't see any reports because there no reports for my game just yet. 8. The admin subforum desperately needs to have threads in it categorized by the different games. Please separate them already. I don't know why it wasn't done yet; I'm not interested in reading Gmod or CSGO admin threads and would just like to not see them if possible. That's about it. If I think of anything else I'll edit this post. Alternatively you can suggest more stuff and post it here along these ideas.
  7. Hey, I remember you. I used to have the "absolutely not" alias in-game. Funny how so many regular MW2 players are joining the forum lately; you're very much welcome! Enjoy your stay and have a good time.
  8. another one that likes anime, put him out back with the rest Hey there, welcome to the forum. What's your favorite anime show?

    Call of Duty is Back!

Awesome, good to see a new working MW2 client. I got lonely after FourDeltaOne's downfall. Is there still a way to download the DLCs? Most of the popular non-WZ servers play DLC maps and I can't get into any of them. Can a link for them be provided here?
